How to Read This Bestiary
Every enemy in Valor Mortis speaks the same combat language: attacks you parry deal posture damage, a drained posture bar breaks into a critical finisher, and the differences between enemies are rhythm, reach and how much punishment their posture absorbs. This bestiary sorts the roster two ways — by type, so you know what grammar an enemy fights in, and by threat, so you know what a fight will cost before you commit your Ferro Flask and unspent Catalysts.
The Two Anchors of the Roster
Two enemies anchor everything else. The Risen Grenadier teaches weak points: shoot the bucket, expose the head, and every fight after it gets easier — the game awards an achievement for exactly this shot. The Remnant of the Iron Regiment teaches tools: Stasis is not optional tech, it is the answer the game built an achievement around. When a new enemy gives you trouble, ask which of these two lessons you are missing — the head or the tool.
A Bestiary That Grows With the Game
Valor Mortis launched on October 13, 2026, and the community is still mapping its roster — this page tracks the thirteen enemy families confirmed by the launch bestiary and the achievement list. Hidden variants, rare spawns and anything One More Level adds in patches get added here as they are verified, so check back after each major update.
