Boss Mechanics

The Arena Is a Weapon

Everything about the Slaughtermill's presentation — the name, the scale, the community's launch-week notes — points to a fight built around the space it occupies: machinery, lanes, and hazards that punish standing where the fight was two seconds ago. Treat arena awareness as the primary skill and the boss's health bar as the secondary one.

What the Community Agrees On

Launch-window consensus: keep to the outer lanes, respect the machinery's timing like an enemy attack, and treat every stagger window as the whole reason you are here. Extended trades in the middle of the arena end with the mill doing more damage than the boss.

The same rule as the Carrion fight applies at boss scale: chip, reposition, repeat. Greed is the only boss here that always one-shots.

Step-by-Step Strategy

The Universal Loop, Applied

Fight in lanes. Move with purpose between punish windows, spend staggers on criticals, and never take a swing just because you are standing still. If the arena machinery creates openings — and the community says it does — those windows are safer damage than anything you can force.

Preparation

Full flasks, spent Catalysts, and a movement-first mindset. Fire tools keep pressure on during the long repositioning phases; Stasis is less valuable here than in single-target posture fights because the arena does the interrupting for you.
