Boss Mechanics

Assembled, Not Born

Experiment 83 is what the Carrion was rehearsing: a constructed abomination whose parts argue with each other. Community launch notes describe multi-part behavior — sections of the creature acting on their own rhythms — which in practice means the fight has more moving targets than its health bar suggests and punish windows that open in unexpected places.

Fire and Structural Patience

Burn damage does steady work on a target made of parts, and the flamethrower's Flame Feast achievement (set four enemies on fire with one use) hints the game expects fire to be your crowd tool at this depth. What is agreed so far: pick one behavior, kill it, and refuse to chase everything at once.

The fight is a resources exam at late-game prices. Catalysts spent before the door, flasks full, and the discipline to reset rather than ship a half-stock attempt.

Step-by-Step Strategy

The Universal Loop, Applied

Stagger what you can, burn what you cannot, and spend every critical on the part that is currently the problem. The fight rewards switching targets with intent — the assembled horror punishes the player who lets its parts set the pace.

Preparation

Late-game loadout standards: maximum-upgraded weapon on your main path, fire tools stocked, Stasis if your build carries it. This is a fight where the completion checklist's cleanup work — Ambers, upgrades, arsenal breadth — pays visible interest.
